The golf series under the prestigious NCBA Golf Series has taken the next step, drawing at least 250 golfers from across the country for a competition at Limuru Country Club on Saturday.

The tournament, now in Kenya’s golfing calendar, has continued to thrive, attracting attention from both seasoned professionals and enthusiastic amateurs, making the sport popular.

NCBA’s sponsorship has showcased not only competitive play but a celebration of community and sporting excellence.

Limuru, known for its challenging terrain and scenic backdrop, is among golfer’s favorite places to test their skills. Organizers have confirmed the event will feature multiple categories, ensuring inclusivity for golfers of varying levels.

Among those expected to participate is John Kariuki, who emerged overall gross men’s title at last year edition and Nacy Wairimu who topped the ladies’ category. Both players are expected to make another strong impression as the competition intensifies midway through the series.

This event follows after the Eldoret Golf Club leg held last weekend, with Jackson Kiprono emerging as the overall winner after returning with an impressive 40 points. Kevin Limo claimed the overall men’s winner title, while Chemutai Faith secured the ladies’ overall winner, qualifying for the grand finale.

The NCBA Group Managing Director John Gachora has praised the progress of the series expressing confidence ahead of the Limuru leg.
