National Treasury Cabinet Secretary Hon. FCPA John Mbadi on Tuesday hosted Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) Chairperson Erastus Ethekon and fellow commissioners for a courtesy meeting aimed at enhancing cooperation between the two institutions.
The engagement, held at the National Treasury offices, provided a platform for consultations on matters of mutual interest and strengthening coordination between the government’s financial management institution and the electoral body.
“The meeting provided an opportunity to strengthen inter-institutional collaboration through consultations on matters of mutual interest. The engagement was attended by the Principal Secretary for the National Treasury, Dr. Chris Kiptoo, CBS,@DrChrisKiptoo alongside senior officials from the National Treasury. @IEBCKenya,”Mbadi said in a statement.
CS Mbadi said continued collaboration among state institutions remains critical in supporting effective service delivery and addressing shared priorities.
The meeting was attended by National Treasury Principal Secretary Dr. Chris Kiptoo, CBS, alongside senior officials from the Treasury.
The discussions come as institutions begin preparations and coordination ahead of the 2027 General Election, where effective planning and resource management will be key to supporting the electoral process.
The IEBC delegation was led by Chairperson Erastus Ethekon, who was accompanied by fellow commissioners during the courtesy call.
