Youth in narok County are feeling hopeful after joining the nyota Fund’s entrepreneurship drive, a government-supported project designed to tackle local unemployment.

The training sessions, held across Narok North and narok Central, focused on practical business building blocks including savings habits, investment strategies, financial control, and solid business plans.

Participants now feel more equipped to handle money wisely and launch missions they have long wanted to try. Many had strong ideas for small businesses but struggled without reliable funding or mentorship to guide them through startup challenges.

For better or worse, this isn’t just about getting cash – it is about learning how to manage it so businesses survive beyond the first few months.

Program organizers say responsibility and sustainability are at the heart of the approach. Leaders see value in giving young people tools they need instead of just handing out money.

Generally, there’s growing belief that combining capital with real-world education might shift how jobs form in rural communities.

However , the plan didn’t just get thumbs up – it actually kicked off conversations about how money and startup skills can change lives.

They said that majority of young people have solid concepts but get stuck because they don’t have funds or someone to help them build those ideas. Some local figures even called it a smart move, saying it helps grow jobs and cut down on youth reliance on handouts.
