Supermodel and philanthropist Naomi Campbell is challenging the ban imposed on her charity activities by the United Kingdom (UK) Charity Commission, insisting  she was a “victim of fraud and forgery, ” including fake email account that was used to impersonate her communications with lawyers.

The 56-year-old fashion icon, who is the founder of Fashion for Relief, had the charity dissolved and removed from the register of charities in 2024, claiming the funds were used to pay for a five star hotel stay in Cannes and spa treatments.

Campbell has been celebrated for her humanitarian work, stating that the investigations are unfair and have tarnished her reputation.

She holds the trustee positions at the Charity Commission, which registers and regulates charities in Wales and England. Officials have raised concerns over the governance and accountability, leading to restrictions on her involvement in registered charities.

Campbell arrived in central London to give evidence to the tribunal; she said “I am bringing this appeal to shine a light on the deception I believe was waged against charity, stopping money from going to the causes it was supposed to.”

It’s believed that the foundation has raised millions for disaster relief, health initiatives and education projects worldwide. Her charity work has included campaigns for children affected by wars, support healthcare programs, especially in Africa and fundraising for victims of natural disasters.
