The Nairobi Hospital has revealed significant leadership changes within the Kenya Hospital Association (KHA), the body overseeing the facility’s operations.
In a statement released on Friday, Dr. Chris Bichage, Chairman of the KHA Board of Management, confirmed the appointment of Felix Osano as the acting Chief Executive Officer.
This change follows the departure of James Nyamongo, whose tenure as CEO ended on December 6, 2024, upon the expiry of his contract.
The statement read, “Mr. James Nyamongo exited the organization as the Chief Executive Officer of the Kenya Hospital Association (KHA) / The Nairobi Hospital effective December 6, 2024, upon the expiry of his contract. We extend our gratitude to Mr. Nyamongo for his service and wish him all the best in his future endeavors.”
Felix Osano, formerly the Director of Supply Chain at the hospital, assumes the role of interim CEO with more than 17 years of experience across diverse sectors such as private equity, FMCG, and healthcare.

Osano is also a Doctoral Candidate in Strategic Management at the United States International University (USIU) and holds an MBA.
“The Board wishes Mr. Osano success in his new role,” the statement concluded.
