Mvurya, Joho Rally Coast Residents To Register As Voters Ahead Of Future Elections

President William Ruto has pledged over Ksh 340 billion in transformative investments across the Coast region: roads, ports, housing, markets, electricity, sports infrastructure, the Blue Economy and land reforms, signaling his commitment to the region’s development.

Led by Youth Affairs, Creative Economy and Sports Cabinet Secretary Salim Mvurya, together with Mining and Blue economy Cabinet Secretary Ali Hassan Joho and Governor of Mombasa Abdulswamad Shariff Nassir, have emphasized a larger voter register strengthens the Coast, ensuring the community it can shape its interests and secure continued development.

“Our greatest asset is our vote. Our vote basket must count; a larger voter register gives the Coast a stronger voice, greater bargaining power and a united bloc capable of championing our shaped interests and securing continued development,” Mvurya said.

During the engagement with the people of Mvita, the leaders have called for a visible register that is eligible for residents as voters and embrace the importance of unity and participation in shaping the region’s future.
