Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi has reaffirmed the government’s commitment to strengthening its partnership with Muslim leaders as part of efforts to promote national unity, peace and inclusive development.
Mudavadi spoke after President William Ruto hosted Sheikhs from across the country at State House for a consultative meeting aimed at enhancing collaboration between the government and the Muslim community on issues of national importance.
He said the engagement reflects the Kenya Kwanza administration’s commitment to ensuring that every community has a voice in shaping the country’s development agenda.
“A united Kenya is built when every voice is heard and every community has a seat at the table,” Mudavadi said.
He hailed faith leaders for their continued role in promoting peace, nurturing moral leadership and strengthening the social fabric that binds the country together.
According to the Prime Cabinet Secretary, religious institutions remain trusted partners in addressing national challenges and fostering dialogue among communities.
Mudavadi said the government will continue working closely with all faith-based organizations to advance peace, national cohesion and equitable development across the country.
“I reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to working closely with all faith communities as trusted partners in advancing peace, national cohesion and inclusive development. Together, we can strengthen dialogue, inspire hope and ensure that the benefits of development reach every corner of our country,” he said.
He noted that collaboration between government and religious leaders is essential in building stronger communities, encouraging mutual understanding and laying a firm foundation for a peaceful and prosperous Kenya.
The consultative meeting forms part of the government’s broader strategy to engage religious leaders in policy discussions and development initiatives, recognizing their influence in promoting social harmony, conflict resolution and community empowerment.
