Former Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria has launched a sharp attack on former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, accusing him of fueling division both at a personal and national level.
In a strongly worded statement, Kuria claimed that Gachagua had “divided” his family in what he described as an attempt to embarrass him, drawing parallels with what he termed as broader efforts to split Kenyans along tribal lines.
Kuria further alleged that such political tactics were aimed at undermining President William Ruto, warning that the approach could backfire politically.
“Going forward you will lose a lot of weight,” Kuria said in the statement, in what appeared to be a veiled warning of declining political influence.
The remarks signal escalating tensions within Kenya’s political landscape, particularly among leaders linked to the Kenya Kwanza administration. Analysts say the exchange reflects deepening cracks and shifting alliances, especially in the politically significant Mount Kenya region.
Gachagua has yet to publicly respond to the claims. However, the growing war of words among key السياسي figures continues to shape the country’s evolving political dynamics ahead of future electoral contests.
