The Ministry of Health has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening partnerships aimed at accelerating Universal Health Coverage (UHC) following a high-level meeting with a delegation from PATH Kenya.
The meeting brought together Health Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale, Principal Secretary for Public Health and Professional Standards Mary Muthoni, PATH Kenya Country Director Carolyne Njuguna and other senior Ministry of Health officials to discuss key priorities in Kenya’s health sector.
According to the Ministry, the discussions centred on enhancing collaboration in digital health, primary healthcare, community health services, immunisation, disease surveillance, emergency preparedness and sustainable health financing.
Principal Secretary Mary Muthoni said the engagement underscored the government’s commitment to working with development partners to strengthen healthcare delivery and improve access to quality services for all Kenyans.
She noted that structured partnerships are critical in building resilient, government-led health systems capable of responding to emerging health challenges while advancing the country’s Universal Health Coverage agenda.
The Ministry further emphasized the importance of coordinated investments in innovation, disease prevention and health financing to ensure equitable access to quality healthcare across the country.
The meeting forms part of the government’s broader efforts to enhance collaboration with development partners in implementing health sector reforms aimed at improving service delivery and achieving better health outcomes for all Kenyans.
