Edward Kiptet, a parent who entrusted the Uasin Gishu Overseas Education Programme with his daughters’ future, told the Nakuru Law Courts how he paid 2.5 million shillings, a sum meant to secure their studies in Canada or Finland.
However, those dreams never materialized. Kiptet testified that after the programme fell apart, he received only a partial refund of 600,000 shillings, leaving both his children’s education and his finances in limbo.F
