A 34-year-old man was killed in Elbeso Village, North Horr Constituency, Marsabit County, in an incident suspected to have stemmed from a love triangle.
The deceased, Badaqe Galgalo Abduba, was found lying in a pool of blood with deep cut wounds at the home of a woman believed to have been his girlfriend.
Marsabit County Police Commander Leonard Kimaiyo confirmed the incident, saying the suspect, identified as Guyo Talbe, 45, allegedly confronted the deceased after arriving at the woman’s home, leading to a violent altercation.
The suspect later surrendered to police and reportedly admitted to stabbing Abduba several times under the left armpit. The murder weapon was recovered about 500 metres from the scene.
The woman, Daro Sora Roba, 25, was taken to North Horr Police Station to record a statement, while the body was moved to Marsabit County Referral Hospital for postmortem.
Police have launched investigations into the incident.
