The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has opened its portal to students who are eyeing admission in Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) courses.

In a statement issued on Tuesday evening, KUCCPS said the application date would be from October 1 to October 14, giving potential candidates two weeks to apply for admission.

The deployment covers a wide curriculum of health science certificate and diploma courses across all KMTC campuses across the country.

Available certificate courses include Medical Engineering, Orthopaedic Trauma Medicine, Health Records and IT, Emergency Medical Technician, Public Health, Nutrition and Dietetics, Community Health Assistant, and Health Insurance Management.

Diploma program options consist of Mortuary Science, Medical Laboratory Sciences, Physiotherapy, Radiography and Imaging, Public Health, Medical Social Work, Pharmacy, Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy, and Health Promotion, among others.

How to Apply

Applicants are expected to log in to the KUCCPS Students’ Portal to view personal requirements and make online application.

To enroll for a certificate course, the applicants should have scored a KCSE mean grade of C- with clusters subject passes. For diploma courses, C plain is the minimum requirement.

Upgrading courses are offered for applicants holding certificates in the same field, whereas the higher diploma courses require a diploma in the same field.

The admissions are designed to offer a further route of entry into the medical profession for hundreds of students and boost the country’s health workforce.

KMTC remains Kenya’s largest developer of health professionals with its graduates deployed in hospitals, clinics, and community units to drive universal healthcare delivery.
