Students hoping to join medical training colleges have a fresh opportunity after KUCCPS opened applications for the March 2026 intake at the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC).

In a notice issued on Wednesday, the placement body said the window is open to candidates seeking slots in various health-related courses offered across KMTC campuses countrywide.

Applications will run from January 7 to January 27, with students required to log in to the KUCCPS student portal to check available programmes and submit their choices.

“Application for placement to Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC), March 2026 intake, is now open,” KUCCPS said in the notice.

The placement covers a wide range of courses at both certificate and diploma levels, targeting students interested in pursuing careers in the health sector.

To qualify for certificate courses, applicants must have scored at least a C- in KCSE, alongside the required cluster subjects. Diploma courses require a minimum grade of C, with specific subject requirements depending on the programme.

Those applying for upgrading courses must already hold a certificate in the relevant field, while higher diploma programmes are open to candidates who have completed diploma training, in line with set guidelines.

KUCCPS noted that applicants must be Kenyan citizens, although non-Kenyan students can also apply to KMTC programmes.

Students facing challenges during the application process have been advised to seek help at nearby Huduma Centres before the January 27 deadline.

KMTC remains one of the country’s largest trainers of healthcare workers, with its graduates serving in public and private health facilities across Kenya, as demand for medical personnel continues to grow.
