Students who missed the earlier application window for Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) courses have been given another chance to apply.
The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has reopened applications for 22 Diploma and Certificate programmes for the September 2026 intake.
KMTC said the new window is meant for students who did not apply during the earlier September intake period and are interested in joining the college, subject to available spaces.
The programmes cover different areas of healthcare, including community health, public health, counselling, laboratory sciences and medical imaging.
Some of the available Diploma courses include Community Health, Health Counselling, Medical Laboratory Sciences, Nutrition and Dietetics, Occupational Therapy, Optometry, Physiotherapy, Public Health, Radiography and Imaging, and Speech and Language Therapy.
Students can also apply for Certificate programmes such as Community Health Assistant, Emergency Medical Technician, Health Insurance Management, Health Records and Information Technology, Mortuary Science, Nutrition and Dietetics, Orthopaedic Trauma Medicine and Public Health.

The reopening comes as students who had already applied for the September intake wait for their placement details.
KUCCPS indicated that the new applications would be based on the number of vacant positions in the various programs.
Application process
Applicants can submit their applications through the KUCCPS Student’s Portal.
They should visit the KUCCPS website, select Student’s Portal, then log in using their details.
After logging in, applicants should select KMTC Programmes, click on the Application tab and follow the instructions provided on the portal.
Students interested in the courses have been advised to check the available programmes and requirements before submitting their applications.
