Investment, Trade and Industry Cabinet Secretary Lee Kinyanjui has represented Kenya at UN80 at Hamburg Sustainability Conference in Germany for matters concerning sustainability, multilateral cooperation and the future of the United Nations system.
CS Kinyanjui addressed a session on UN80 and the fight for the future of multilateral cooperation, as the UN marks its 80th anniversary.
He emphasized that Kenya has joined the Alliance of Supporters of the United Nations Development System at a critical time when geopolitical tensions and fragmentation are increasingly shifting global partnerships.
He also highlighted the trust and confidence we have as a nation in the international community, which provides a conducive environment for the operations of the United Nations Office at Nairobi, across the region and globally.
This has placed Kenya in a position to benefit from the Alliance, which offers vision and leadership that is needed to build consensus on critical issues and sustain momentum towards pragmatic, implementation and impactful reforms of the United Nations Development System.
CS Kinyanjui attendance has positioned Kenya’s ambition to be more regional and a global voice in reforming multilateral systems.
