Khloé Kardashian Opens Up to About Her Silent Battle with Skin Cancer

Khloé Kardashian recently shared a very personal account of having been diagnosed with skin cancer not once, but twice. The first time was when she was 19 years old, shortly after losing her father, Robert Kardashian, in a tragic accident.

Khloé, then, kept her diagnosis private. Mourning the loss of her dad to cancer, she did not want to burden her family with more anxiety. She snuck behind everyone’s backs to be seen by a doctor, had the growth on her back removed that was cancerous, and tried to move on. “I figured I’d be okay,” she recalled in a recent podcast episode, Khloé in Wonderland. “When you’re 19, you’re invincible.”

Years later, in 2022, Khloé noticed a tiny bump on her face. She initially thought it was a hard pimple or a cyst or whatever. She did everything from face treatments to facials and even consulted the experts’ advice. Since the bump had been color-matched to her skin and didn’t look abnormal, nobody suspected anything sinister.

“I have a lot of moles and beauty spots,” she told us, “so I thought it was just one more.” But when the mark didn’t disappear, Khloé decided to get it checked out.

She eventually went in for a biopsy, and the results reinforced her worst nightmare it was melanoma again.
