Commander of the Kenya Navy, Major General Paul Otieno, participated in the International Maritime Defence Industry Exhibition (MADEX) 2025 in Busan, South Korea, as part of Kenya’s efforts to strengthen maritime defence partnerships.
MADEX 2025, a biennial event, showcased the latest naval technologies and drew over 100 delegates from 29 countries.
Major General Otieno held bilateral talks with the Republic of Korea Navy, focusing on enhanced military cooperation, and toured key naval assets including the Frigate Gyeongnam and Destroyer Sejong the Great.
He was accompanied by Brigadier (Dr) Justino Muinde, Colonel Esther Wanjiku, and Lieutenant Colonel Gavin Kasyoka, underscoring Kenya’s commitment to advancing naval capabilities through global collaboration.
