Athletics Kenya (AK) has unveiled a squad of six athletes that will represent the country at the 2026 World Indoor Athletics Championships.
The 21s edition will be held at the Kujawsko-Pomorska Arena Toruń in Kujawy Pomorze, Poland from Friday, March 20 to Sunday, March 22.
Kenya’s squad will be led by multiple 5000m world medalist Jacob Krop who will compete in the men’s 3000m. Brian Omari Tinega will line up in the 400m while Noah Kibet will race in the men’s 800m. Kibet won silver in the 2022 Indoor Championships in Belgrade.
On the women’s side, Mercy Adongo Oketch will compete in the 400m. Oketch had a breakout season last year where she reached the women’s 400m semi-finals at the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo.
American-based Susan Ejore will race in the women’s 1500m while Rosemary Longisa will pit her wits in the women’s 800m. Ejore was also part of Kenya’s squad in Tokyo last year.
