Meru Governor Kawira Mwangaza participated in the G7 Women Alliance forum despite her recent impeachment ordeal by members of the County Assembly.
The event, hosted by Machakos Governor Wavinya Ndeti, was attended by notable women leaders including Anne Waiguru, Gladys Wanga, Susan Kihika, Fatuma Achani, and Cecily Mbarire.
The forum focused on advancing women’s leadership and promoting effective governance.
Governor Mwangaza’s impeachment case is scheduled for a Senate plenary session on Monday and Tuesday next week.

This follows a recent Senate vote where a motion to establish a Special Committee to investigate her impeachment was rejected.
Senate Speaker Amason Kingi confirmed, “The majority leader moved the motion at Order No. 8 for the establishment of a special committee to investigate the proposed removal from office by impeachment of Kawira Mwangaza. The motion has been negatived.”
