Karua’s Narc Kenya Party Exits Azimio, Says Ties with Alliance No Longer Tenable

Narc Kenya leader Martha Karau gives notice to exit Azimio a day after President William Ruto Nominated members of ODM as cabinet secretaries.

“Our stay in Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Alliance is no longer tenable,” Karua posted on social media

The resignations come amidst high tension between a section of Azimio members after the president nominated Hassan Joho, John Mbadi, Wycliff Oparanya and James Wandayi as Cabinet Secretaries.

“Kindly note that our stay in Azimio la Umoja One Coalition is not tenable due to the prevailing political developments,”

“As Narc Kenya by way of this letter, we are giving notice to exit the coalition as stipulated in the exit clause(s) in the Coalition Agreement,”

The letter was signed by Narc Kenya party Ag. Secretary General Asha Bashir

Bashir said the exit notice takes effect, as per the coalition agreement

Martha Karau has been loud criticizing President William Ruto administration.
