Controversial preacher Victor Kanyari has lifted the lid on an incident he claims disrupted his political campaigns in Kasarani, accusing Marion Naipei of causing chaos during one of his rallies.

Speaking during a church session on Sunday, Kanyari recounted how what had started as a routine campaign stop quickly descended into confusion after Naipei allegedly created a scene in front of residents.

According to Kanyari, the rally had drawn a sizeable crowd as he engaged voters in his bid for the Kasarani parliamentary seat before the situation took an unexpected turn.

He claimed Naipei appeared intoxicated and began shouting at members of the public, using offensive language that shifted attention away from the campaign message.

“She started shouting at people and insulting them. The whole situation became chaotic,” Kanyari said.

The preacher further alleged that her remarks angered sections of the crowd, triggering tension and restlessness among residents who had initially turned up to listen to his agenda.

Kanyari said he was forced to step in to contain the situation before it escalated further, directing Naipei to leave the rally.

“I had to tell her to go back to the car so that we could continue with the meeting,” he said.

He described the moment as embarrassing, noting that such incidents can easily damage a candidate’s image, especially during highly visible campaign engagements where public perception is critical.

The claims have since stirred debate online, with Kenyans expressing mixed reactions. While some have criticised Naipei’s alleged conduct, others have questioned the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Naipei has not publicly responded to the allegations.

The episode adds to the challenges Kanyari has faced as he attempts to transition from the pulpit into politics, where public scrutiny remains high and campaign environments often unpredictable.
