Kenya’s side the Junior Starlets is set to encounter Mexico on Wednesday in the 2024 FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup taking place in Dominican Republic.
The Starlets lost 2-0 against England in their group opening match last week.
They suffered another big loss of 3-0 yesterday in the encounter with Korea DPR at the Estadio Cibao Stadium.
Kenya remaining with one match has been eliminated.
Yesterday Korea DPR took the lead early in the match, with So Ryu Gyong opening the scoring in the 8th minute, followed by her brace in the 11th minute.

The second half saw the team make strategic changes as Coach Cheche introduced fresh legs in an effort to turn the tide, she brought in Joan Ogola just before the second half replacing Velma Awuor and in the 62nd minute brought in Kimberly Akinyi for Valerie Nekesa.
The defensive line, led by Captain Elizabeth Ochaka, stood tall under pressure, keeping the Korean attack at bay for most of the half.
Korea however sealed the victory with a third goal in the 86th minute.
