Judiciary Reaffirms Zero-Tolerance Stand on Corruption

Chief Justice Maatha Koome, has reaffirmed Judiciary against corruption strengthened through improved mutual understanding and working relationships with institutions such as the Law Society of Kenya (LSK), Judicial Service Commission (JSC), and the National Council on Administration of Justice (NCAJ).

The Chief Justice posted on her official social media platform X, formerly Twitte emphasized that the Judiciary’s zero-tolerance policy of corrupt practices is still in full force and will be implemented fearlessly.

She stressed on the ongoing reforms towards bolstering accountability, transparency and improving disciplinary action to safeguard the courts.

“We are already enhancing Stronger accountability mechanisms, enhanced transparency, and stricter enforcement measures to protect the integrity of the justice system and restore public confidence.” she said

Koome appealed to Kenyans to join the fight against corruption by reporting all doubtful transactions through Judiciary hot lines and any other form of communications such as JSC.

Quoting the Judiciary, she assured that ‘Corruption has no space in our society’ and promised to continue to work towards safeguarding of integrity, rule of law and justice for all’.
