Emurua Dikirr MP Johana Ngeno is dead.
Ngeno and five others perished in helicopter crash in Mosop, Nandi County, on the evening of Saturday, February 28.
Confirming the deaths, Nandi County police boss Samuel Mukuuzi said the chopper dropped at 4.45pm.
The identities of the five other victims are yet to be confirmed. The chopper burst into flames after hitting three large trees.
Ngeno, elected under the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) was serving his third consecutive term in the National Assembly, having first been elected in 2013.
In the House, he served as the Chairperson of the Departmental Committee on Housing, Urban Planning and Public Works and also a member of the Liaison Committee.
