President William Ruto today, Wednesday, January 21, met German Foreign Affairs Minister Johann Wadephul at State House in Nairobi.
Taking to social media, President Ruto said their discussion centred on the tremendous opportunities in Kenya for investment in energy generation, water harvesting and storage, and technical training.
The two also agreed on the importance of sharing human capital through the bilateral labour agreement already signed between Kenya and Germany.
The head of state noted that the two countries share a long-standing relationship founded on a mutually beneficial partnership and they are committed to strengthening collaboration to expand opportunities for citizens of both nations.
"On multilateralism, we share a common position on a rule-based global order and the need to make the United Nations a fit-for-purpose organisation able to serve the interests of all nations, especially those from the Global South. We count on Germany’s support in promoting peace and stability in our region, especially in Sudan," said President Ruto.
