Rapper Jay-Z will perform at the Super Bowl halftime show in Inglewood’s SoFi Stadium on February 14, 2027, the NFL, Apple Music and Roc Nation announced during the Cowboys vs. Eagles “Monday Night Football” matchup.

Jay-Z has been producing the Super Bowl halftime show, where he announced that the 2027 headline act will be none other than himself.

“From Reasonable Doubt to standing on the Super Bowl Halftime stage, this has been a journey. Thirty years of music, work, and culture on the world’s biggest stage. This run continues to be a dream come true,” Jay-Z said.

The hip-hop star will follow in the footsteps of other recent halftime performers including Bad Bunny, Kendrick Lamar, Usher, Rihanna and The Weeknd.

Miley Cyrus, Justin Bieber and Harry Styles were reportedly also in the running, but lost out.

In 2019, Roc Nation partnered with NFL involving entertainment strategy and the production of the Super Bowl half-time show. The partnership helped bring major musical performances to one of the world’s most widely watched sporting events.

“Anticipation as to who Jay-Z might have guest star at halftime for the big game will now kick off. Of course, his wife, Beyoncé, will be atop the list,” NFL said.

Roc Nation will executive-produce “The Apple Music Super Bowl LXI Halftime Show” and Hamish Hamilton will serve as director.

“For several years, we’ve had the privilege of working closely with Jay-Z and Roc Nation, and I’ve seen the extraordinary impact he has had on the Super Bowl Halftime Show,” NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said.

The announcement was made after Jay-Z, performed two shows last weekend at the Los Angeles stadium where the Super Bowl will be played.
