Invest Kenya, AmCham Kenya Partner to Boost U.S. Investments

The Kenya Investment Authority has intensified efforts to attract more foreign direct investment after holding high-level discussions with the American Chamber of Commerce Kenya and representatives from the Embassy of the United States, Nairobi aimed at strengthening the Kenya–United States investment ecosystem.

The meeting brought together Invest Kenya officials, the American Chamber of Commerce Kenya team led by Chief Executive Officer Paul Muthaura, and the Economic Counselor at the U.S. Embassy in Kenya.

According to Invest Kenya, the discussions focused on advancing policy and investment dialogue to create a more competitive, predictable and investor-friendly business environment capable of attracting increased investment from American companies and other global investors.

“Invest Kenya today met the American Chamber of Commerce Kenya Team led by CEO Mr. Paul Muthaura, CEO together with the Economic Counselor at the U.S. Embassy in Kenya, as part of our ongoing efforts to strengthen the Kenya–U.S. investment ecosystem,”statement read from their social media.

The two sides also explored opportunities to deepen collaboration ahead of key investment engagements scheduled for September 2026. The forums are expected to provide a platform for showcasing Kenya’s diverse investment opportunities across strategic sectors of the economy to international investors.

The engagement forms part of ongoing efforts by the government to strengthen economic partnerships with the United States while positioning Kenya as a preferred destination for foreign direct investment in East Africa.

Invest Kenya said closer collaboration with the American Chamber of Commerce and the U.S. Embassy will help facilitate investment promotion initiatives, strengthen investor confidence and support policy reforms that enhance the country’s ease of doing business.

The authority expressed optimism that the partnership will build momentum toward attracting new investments, creating jobs and driving sustainable economic growth as Kenya continues marketing itself as a regional investment hub.
