The government has committed Sh550 million towards the expansion and modernization of Alliance High School as the institution celebrates 100 years of academic excellence.

Speaking during the school’s centenary celebrations, President William Ruto praised the national school for a century of imparting knowledge, discipline, hard work and excellence, describing it as one of Kenya’s most distinguished learning institutions.

He said they have interacted and worked with many of the school’s alumni, noting that they rank among the finest professionals in the country.

"I have had the opportunity to interact and work with the school’s alumni, and I can attest that they are among the finest in our country. We will keep supporting the institution to uphold its legacy, investing KSh550 million," said Ruto.

The Sh550 million investment will fund major infrastructure projects at the Kikuyu-based institution.

This includes Sh60 million for the construction of 40 classrooms, Sh60 million for the establishment of a sports academy, and Sh200 million to improve the road network around the school to ease access and enhance mobility.

The government also announced additional funding for the neighbouring Alliance Girls’ High School, allocating Sh155 million for the construction of a 640-student dormitory and Sh40 million for 24 new classrooms.

Leaders said the continued investment underscores the government’s commitment to supporting institutions with a strong legacy of academic excellence and national service.

As Alliance High School marked its centenary, the rallying call “Strong To Serve” echoed through the celebrations, symbolizing the institution’s enduring mission to nurture generations of leaders for the country.
