Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Secretary General and Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna has taken to X (formerly Twitter) to express gratitude to Kenyans for their messages of prayers and encouragement.
In a heartfelt post, Sifuna said he was touched by the outpouring of goodwill and support he has received over the past few days.
“To all of you who sent me messages of prayers and encouragement, thank you so much. I’m just getting round to reading and responding,” he wrote. “Kindly accept my sincerest appreciation even if I don’t respond to all of them. God bless.”
Sifuna’s message came amid a wave of online criticism following his casual dress code during the burial of ODM Party Leader Raila Odinga, an event attended by top political leaders and international dignitaries.
While some social media users questioned his choice of attire, others defended him, saying what mattered most was his presence and loyalty to the late opposition icon.
