Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has been sued for failing to pay KSh 25 million for a house he acquired for Julia Muthoni Mwangi.
When he was serving as the country’s second in command, Gachagua asked Royal Importers and Exporters Limited, the managers of Skyrock Apartments, to give one unit to Muthoni, his alleged mistress, promising to pay.
Muthoni would later move into the house, but the money was not paid until today. TUKIO.co.ke has learned that there have been repetitive promises to pay the amount, which have not been honoured.
As a result of the considered unlawful occupation of the property, Royal Importers and Exporters Limited, through advocate Adrian Kamotho, has written a demand letter to Gachagua and Muthoni demanding that she vacates the property.
The property manager is also seeking a full and unconditional admission of liability for unlawful occupation and settlement of attendant sums as shall be computed based on the prevailing market indices.
Failure to comply, the property manager said, they will auction off all items unlawfully placed in the premises by Muthoni.
