Erastus Ethekon, nominated by President William Ruto to be the next Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) chair, has revealed his net worth.
Appearing before the National Assembly’s Justice and Legal Affairs Committee (JLAC) on Saturday, May 31, which was assessing his suitability to lead IEBC, Ethekon estimated all his assets at KSh 276.8 million.
He said his assets are mainly comprised of parcels of land, livestock, motorvehicle and cars, among others.
"My net worth is estimated at KSh 276,882,237 made up of mainly assets, land, livestock, some Safaricoom shares and motor vehicles. Currently, my sources of income are from my earnings from the African Union Development Agency. The county government of Turkana still owes me my gratuity," said Ethekon.
