Senior officers of the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) have signed performance contracts for the 2024/25 financial year, marking a renewed commitment to enhancing accountability and performance within the agency.
The signing ceremony, held at the DCI Headquarters, brought together high-ranking commanders from various directorates, formations, and regional offices.
The event was presided over by Deputy Director of DCI, John Onyango, on behalf of DCI Director Mohamed Amin. Speaking at the ceremony, Onyango emphasized the importance of the exercise in aligning the agency’s operations with its strategic goals.
“By participating in this exercise, the high-ranking commanders have committed to delivering on the obligations specified for their respective directorates,” the DCI noted in a statement.
The annual signing is part of the Public Service Performance Management framework, which is instrumental in implementing the National Police Service Strategic Plan.
The performance contracts set clear targets and obligations for each directorate, focusing on improving investigative efficiency, integrating technology-driven solutions, and ensuring the prompt administration of justice.
In addition, the contracts aim to enhance coordination and communication between DCI formations and regional offices, ensuring seamless operations across the agency.
This initiative reflects the DCI’s dedication to meeting public expectations by improving service delivery, fostering professionalism, and leveraging innovation in the fight against crime.
