Transport Cabinet Secretary Davis Chirchir has unveiled plans for a 143- kilometre road project that will connect Rift Valley to the parts of the Nyanza region, set to begin in January 2027.

Chirchir emphasized that the road will not only serve motorists but also transform rural economy by opening up agricultural zones. He also mentioned several roads in the county will have undergo extensive rehabilitation, as contractors are already on the site.

The project is part of the government’s initiative to transform Kenya, as it’s part of the 28,000 kilometres of road nationwide.
