The first-ever China-Kenya Friendship Games drew a total of 700 participants and thus these 19 Chinese-Kenyan companies had a great time coming together not only to play in a friendly atmosphere but also to show their strong cooperation in a bilateral way.

An event organized by the Kenya China Economic and Trade Association (KCETA), was aimed at deeply connecting the two nations through sports, at the same time, it was a platform for promoting mental wellness, fitness, and cultural exchange.

In the women’s 100 meters, XCMG was the best after Naisula Lenengwesi edged her opponent to get the first place, while her teammate Banice Kimaiyo was second. In the men’s 100 meters, Daniel Mutua of AFRISTA was the winner, with James Lengewa as the runner-up.

In the men’s 200 metres, Stephen Oluoch delivered a marvelous performance to win the race by a wide margin.

The organizers were happy with the first edition’s success and announced their intention to hold the Games every year. They emphasized that sports provide an excellent platform for bringing people together, creating friendship, and thus deepening of China-Kenya ​‍​‌‍​‍‌​‍​‌‍​‍‌relations.
