Media personality and entrepreneur Cebbie Koks Nyasego has posted a haunting story after a shocking incident unfolded shortly after leaving a place called Lee. She had just walked back to her car, parked in a remote location, when she instinctively locked herself inside and flicked on the lights. It was seconds later when she witnessed a man faking a collapse onto the sidewalk,flailing his arms in the center of the road.
Her initial response was to run out and help. But before she had a chance, another man appeared from the back of her vehicle, raising her suspicion. “That’s when my gut said something didn’t feel right. I said, ‘I’ll wait,'” she said.
The other man dashed over to attend to the one that had fallen, removing his sweater, fanning him, and later helping him out of the road. Despite this, Cebbie suspected that incident must have been a robbery or carjacking trap.
“In that moment, I chose safety. I drove off,” she revealed, admitting the decision haunts her to this day.
Her story has since caused controversy online, with many leaving comments about the dilemma of staying safe versus assisting strangers in desperate situations. Some praised her survival instincts, while others empathized with her remorse at potentially not having been able to assist someone who was in danger.
Cebbie summed up her conflict within when she tweeted: “Eeh! You want to rob bereaved!”
