Kenyan musician Bahati raised alarm over his family’s security after claiming suspected gangsters visited him at his residence early Friday morning.

Bahati reported on social media that the intruders showed up between 4:27 am and 5:30 am, warning them not to get close to his money. He issued a stern warning: “Keep off my money or else you will be sh0t d€ad!”

The artist went on to make a formal complaint to the Inspector General of Police, seeking additional security for his family and neighbors. “Dear Inspector General of Police, I am filing a formal complaint. Please provide my family and neighbors with additional security. Our lives are in danger,” Bahati wrote.

The post follows days after Bahati flaunted large sums of money on the internet as he spoke about the Ksh 1 million Harambee Stars pledge scandal. His fans had previously descended on his comment section, pushing him and his wife Diana Marua to fulfill the vow. His new post has now been controversial, with some of his fans shocked about his safety, while others wondered why he dared to display cash in public.
