Kenya basketball star Madina Okot made the most of her opportunity on the WNBA Final stage, scoring three points and recording a block in limited minutes as the Atlanta Dream defeated the Golden State Valkyries 97-71 to take a 2-1 lead in the championship series.

Okot made her first Finals appearance in Atlanta’s 79-65 Game 2 victory at Chase Center on Monday, which leveled the best -of-seven series at 1-1 and gave the Dream their first-ever Finals win going into Game 3 at State Farm Arena in Atlanta on Wednesday.

She has appeared in 42 regular-season games for Atlanta, making two starts and averaging of 5.4 points and 3.3 rebounds in 9.1 minutes per game. She has shot 58% from the field and 76.8% from the free-throw line.

Okot took advantage of her opportunity, while Angel Reese once again made headlines at the Atlanta’s victory with a dominant all-around performance.

Reese finished with 21 points and 12 rebounds alongside three assists and three steals, recording her third consecutive double-double of the Finals.

Game 4 is scheduled for October 24 at State Farm Arena, with Atlanta hoping to take advantage and move within one win of the franchise’s first WNBA Championship.
