A total of 177 graduates have completed the Kenya Forest Service Inspectorate Course at the newly established Forest Law Enforcement Academy (FoLEA) Main Campus in Mukutani, Baringo County.
The graduates were awarded their certificates during a Passing-Out Parade presided over by Gitonga Mugambi, CBS, alongside Environment and Climate Change counterpart Eng. F. Ngeno.
Mugambi congratulated the officers on completing their training, urging them to view graduation as the beginning of greater responsibility in protecting Kenya’s forests and serving the public.
He challenged the officers to uphold discipline, integrity and professionalism as they assume their duties, while applying the leadership skills acquired during their training.
“Graduation is not the end of your journey but the beginning of a greater responsibility,” Mugambi told the graduates.
He urged the new officers to enforce the Forest Conservation and Management Act and other relevant laws without fear or favour, while respecting human rights in the course of their duties.
Mugambi also called on the officers to safeguard public resources and promote ethical leadership within the Kenya Forest Service.
The graduation marks an important milestone for FoLEA, which has been established to strengthen forest law enforcement capacity and equip officers with the skills needed to protect and sustainably manage Kenya’s forest resources.
