Wetang’ula Urges Western Kenya to Back Kenya Kwanza Government

Wetang’ula Urges Western Kenya to Back Ruto GovernmentNational Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang’ula has urged residents of Western Kenya to continue supporting President William Ruto’s administration, citing development projects and opportunities in the region.

Speaking during a church fellowship at Mungore Comprehensive School grounds in Khasoko Ward, Bungoma County, Wetang’ula said the government had delivered projects including roads, modern markets and affordable housing.

He also pointed to the planned extension of the Standard Gauge Railway (SGR) to Bungoma as part of ongoing development efforts.Wetang’ula was speaking during a fundraising drive to support the construction of a vicar’s residence at St Peter’s Mungore ACK Parish.

He attended the event at the invitation of former MPs Mwambu Mabonga and Boniface Otsyula.The Speaker was accompanied by leaders including President Ruto’s aide Farouk Kibet, Bungoma Governor Ken Lusaka, Senator Wafula Wakoli and Kibwezi West MP Mwengi Mutuse.

Wetang’ula also called on leaders from Western Kenya holding senior government positions to use their influence to serve and uplift communities at the grassroots.

He further urged residents to remain engaged in government programmes and support Ruto’s re-election bid in the 2027 General Election.

The event brought together church leaders, politicians and residents for the fundraising and fellowship.
