Kirinyaga governor Ann Waiguru on Saturday hailed the UDA repeat of grassroot election. In a statement shared on social media.
Waiguru said that the exercise went on well on varioous polling stations .
She noted that the repeat polls are being conducted in parts of Ndia, Mwea, Kirinyaga Central and Gichugu constituencies to conclude the party’s grassroots electoral process.
“I encourage members in these areas to turn out and participate so we can conclude the exercise in a credible and orderly manner,” the governor said.
The repeat elections follow earlier grassroots polls that were conducted in several parts of the country as the ruling party seeks to strengthen its internal structures at the ward and constituency levels.
