Manchester United have been handed a timely fitness boost ahead of their Europa League final showdown with Tottenham, as Joshua Zirkzee, Diogo Dalot, and Leny Yoro all returned to full training on Tuesday.

Rúben Amorim’s side are gearing up for the all-English final at Bilbao’s San Mamés Stadium on Wednesday, where they’ll look to salvage a disappointing domestic campaign with European silverware.

Zirkzee had been expected to miss the remainder of the season after sustaining a hamstring injury during United’s April defeat at Newcastle.

However, the Dutch striker could now be in contention after sitting out the last eight matches across all competitions.

Dalot, who has missed six games due to a calf issue, and Yoro, absent from last Friday’s 1-0 defeat to Chelsea with a foot injury, also rejoined the squad in Tuesday’s session at Carrington.

Despite the encouraging returns, Dutch centre-back Matthijs de Ligt remains unavailable. The defender has missed the last three matches with an undisclosed injury and was not involved in training.

United’s hopes of lifting the Europa League trophy come amid a difficult season under Amorim, who replaced Erik ten Hag in November.

The club currently sits 16th in the Premier League, just one point ahead of struggling Tottenham.

A victory in Wednesday’s final would not only mark Amorim’s first trophy in charge but also secure United a coveted place in next season’s Champions League — a much-needed consolation in an otherwise turbulent campaign.
