Twenty-one people die after a bus ferrying mourners overturns at the Coptic Roundabout on the Kisumu-Kakamega Road.
A school bus, which was ferrying mourners from Nyahera to Nyakach in Kisumu County, was trying to turn a corner at the Coptic blackspot when it rolled.
Nyanza Regional Traffic Enforcement Officer Peter Maina has confirmed the incident saying the fatalities are 10 men, 10 women and an eight-month-old baby.
Survivors were rushed to the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital for treatment, and five are in critical condition.
