Tourism Promotion Fund board approves 2025/26 financial statements

The Board of the Tourism Promotion Fund has approved its financial statements for the 2025/2026 financial year in a move aimed at strengthening accountability and enhancing support for the country’s tourism sector.

Immigration and Citizen Services Principal Secretary Julius Bitok said he chaired the board meeting alongside Wildlife Principal Secretary Silvia Museiya and Culture, Arts and Heritage Principal Secretary Ummi Bashir.

The meeting deliberated on key governance and institutional matters affecting the fund before approving the financial statements for the period under review.

“Together, we deliberated on key governance and institutional matters, culminating in the Board’s approval of the Tourism Promotion Fund’s financial statements for the 2025/2026 financial year,” Bitok said.

He noted that the approval of the accounts demonstrates the board’s commitment to prudent management of public resources and adherence to good governance principles.

“This important milestone reflects our shared commitment to sound corporate governance, fiscal discipline, transparency and accountability in the stewardship of public resources,” he said.

Bitok added that the government remains focused on strengthening the Tourism Promotion Fund to support the sustainable growth and global competitiveness of Kenya’s tourism sector.
