A majority of Kenyans believe that former Prime Minister and Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga will support President William Ruto in the 2027 elections.
This is according to a TIFA poll released on Wednesday, which highlighted divided public opinion on Raila’s political stance ahead of the next general election.
The survey shows that 32 percent of respondents believe Raila will back President Ruto’s bid for a second term.
However, despite this expectation, nearly half of those polled still view Raila as likely to remain in the opposition—either by taking an active role or influencing it from behind the scenes.
