Twenty five years after The Fast and The Furious roared onto screens in 2001, the franchise stars have reunited once again to honor one of Hollywood’s most enduring film phenomena.

Universal Pictures hosted a special anniversary screening in Los Angeles, celebrating the film and this achievement.

Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson and Paul Walker’s daughter Meadow Walker were in attendance to watch a special screening of the 2001 film, all walking the red carpet together.

According to Rob Cohen, the screenplay by Gary Scott Thomson, Erik Berquist and David Ayer, The Fast and the Furious was the beginning of global franchise.

The adrenaline of the original film transformed street racing into a global blockbuster empire worth over $7 billion.

The red carpet screening drew thousands to the Grand Theatre Lumiere, including franchise producer Neal H. Mortiz NBCUniversal chair Dame Donna Langley attending.

The 25th anniversary was more than a nostalgic look back; it was recognition of how Fast and Furious reshaped action cinema. From street racing in Los Angeles to globetrotting heists, the film became a modern myth chosen family, resilience and speed.
