Kenyan musician Stevo Simple Boy has officially announced his separation from his partner, Brenda, following DNA test results that reportedly excluded him from being the biological father of their child, Aiden Maleek.
The rapper, whose real name is Stephen Otieno Adera, announced the breakup on Tuesday, October 20, in a statement shared on his social media pages.
“Following the DNA test results, I wish to officially announce that Brenda and I are no longer together as a couple,” he stated.
Stevo acknowledged that the results had been difficult to accept but said he had chosen to handle the situation maturely while respecting everyone involved.
“The results have been difficult to process, but I have chosen to handle this matter with dignity and respect for everyone involved. I ask my fans and the public to respect my privacy as I navigate this chapter of my life,” he added.
What did Stevo Simple Boy’s DNA results show?
The paternity test was conducted by Microafia Healthcare, with samples reportedly collected on September 25, 2026, and the results released on October 10. According to the laboratory report, several genetic mismatches were identified, excluding Stevo as the child’s biological father.
The paternity dispute attracted public attention after Stevo’s former manager, Machabe, claimed to be the child’s biological father. He later withdrew the claim and apologised on September 18, 2026. The child, Aiden Maleek, had previously been nicknamed Dragon Junior, a reference to Stevo’s popular moniker, Dragon of Africa.
Following the announcement, the musician thanked Microafia Healthcare for conducting the test and providing the results, praising the facility for its professional service.
