President William Ruto has called on the international community to deepen partnerships with Kenya to support the country’s ambitious development agenda.

Speaking at State House Nairobi during the New Year Diplomatic Briefing with ambassadors, high commissioners, and heads of international institutions, Ruto highlighted the importance of global cooperation in delivering Kenya’s $38 billion (KSh5 trillion) transformation programme.

“We welcome investment from development finance institutions, pension funds, and the private sector in our National Infrastructure Fund,” he said, stressing that collaboration with international partners is key to achieving the country’s growth targets.

Regionally, Ruto urged the world to take urgent action to restore peace and stability in Sudan through civilian-led efforts and encouraged continued dialogue and peacebuilding in the DRC and South Sudan.

He also reaffirmed Kenya’s support for a stronger African Union, a more effective Pan-African Parliament, the operationalization of the African Court of Justice, and the full implementation of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).

On the global stage, the President called for an inclusive and representative United Nations capable of responding decisively to the complex challenges facing the world today.

“Kenya is committed to working with our partners to ensure peace, stability, and prosperity for our region and the world,” he said.
