The plot to impeach Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has been revived, and the motion is said to be already within the precincts of the National Assembly.
An insider privy to the motion hinted that it might be tabled on the floor of the House next week as efforts to build a case against Gachagua are in top gear.
The lawmakers behind the impeachment are said to have been holding a series of night meetings to actualise it.
The insider said Gachagua might be out of office before December.
The proponents of the motion accuse Gachagua of, among other things, undermining President William Ruto.
The plot to impeach the second in command has been revived months after being dropped after President Ruto reportedly intervened.
