United States rapper Rick Ross has been arrested in Miami beach following a domestic violence charge allegedly attacking his ex-girlfriend Jazzm Kendrick over an Instagram photo.
The 50-year-old rapper turned himself in the Miami Beach Police Department on Thursday 5 a.m. He has been charged with felony charge of battery by strangulation and a first-degree misdemeanor charge of battery by intentionally touching, striking or causing bodily harm to another person against their will.
He was booked at the Tuner Guilford Knight Correctional Center where he was denied bail and he is being held on $ 5,000 and $ 10,000 bonds for the respective charges.
According to Miami-Dade County courts records, he will be due in court on October 22 for his arraignment.According to Jazm, she says Ross allegedly accused her of being involved in a relationship with an another individual that she was merely friend with.
Upon knowing, Ross “struck” her every time she denied the allegations and struck her chest several times.
She added Ross also chocked her to a pint she could not breathe and grabbing her hair and slamming her against the wall before striking her face. She also accused him of pushing her to the floor and tuning on the shower on her head.
