Kenyan musician and content creator Remcy Don has proposed an unconventional offer to fellow musician Kevin Bahati, offering to pay Ksh 2 million for himself and his wife to attend Bahati’s wedding, while simultaneously requesting Ksh 5 million to perform at the event.
Don stated the proposal was framed as a unique arrangement, where attending the wedding and performing his song “Savage Love” would be part celebrating Bahati’s milestone while also showcasing his artistry.
“Nimesikia ku-attend hiyo wedding yako ya harusi ni 1 million. Na mimi nimejitolea kutoa two million, yangu moja na mpoa wangu moja. Bora umake sure nitaperform ile ngoma yangu ya Savage Love. Na rate card yangu ni 5 million,” Don said.
He suggested that Bahati could pay the Ksh 5 million performance fee, after which he would return Ksh 2 million or deduct from the amount.
“Sasa hapa tufanya mahesabu, ama utanipea five million, niperform na mi nikupee 2 million ama utatoa milioni tatu. Rate card ni five million, kukuja harusi na mpoa wangu nitwo million. So tunweza deduct,” he added.
Remcy Don’s proposal shows his determination to showcase his latest song, given a platform to perform and he suggested to Bahati to consider the proposal of attending his wedding.
